Harris Academy exceeds standard performance in many ways. Its gas and electricity usage to do date represents a saving of 59% against CIBSE Guide F Good Practice Secondary School measures and saves 72% against TM46 benchmarking.

The Passivhaus design will meant an overall reduction in energy consumption of more than 80% compared to standard school buildings. Currently the energy use and CO2 emissions is: 11 kgCO2/m2/yr and the EPC rating is ‘A’ – 23 points.
