Executive chairman Rick Willmott received an OBE in the June 2026 Honours List to mark the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK.

Recognition for a contribution we’ve all been part of

Rick has spent his career helping to shape our company and, through it, the wider industry, including as Group Chief Executive and more recently as Executive Chairman.

His recognition is for services to the construction industry, and we know that the things Rick cares passionately about, and has consistently pushed for – making Willmott Dixon a brilliant place to build a career, opening the industry up to a wider range of people, promoting opportunities for the most disadvantaged in society, and holding ourselves to the highest standards on sustainability, tackling climate change and driving social value – are things we have all helped turn into reality, project by project.

A wider appreciation for what we’re achieving at Willmott Dixon

While this is a special moment for Rick, and a fine reward of his contribution shaping the modern industry we enjoy working in, it’s something everyone at Willmott Dixon can share. Rick’s recognition reflects something that is a driving force at Willmott Dixon, that we have a wider purpose to leave a lasting legacy through the work we do. Like the King’s Awards for Enterprise, it’s another accolade that makes us stand out and shows that what we are achieving does get noticed and appreciated.
