Our team of health experts delivered a scheme to expand and improve facilities at a flagship independent hospital in Cranbrook for Benenden.

Big ambitions

Marc Bell, the Chief Executive of benenden health:

“We are a national healthcare organisation which compliments the work of the NHS. We have 900,000 members and this is part of our strategy to provide them with first class facilities."

The redevelopment of the facility allows all patients staying at the hospital to benefit from single bedrooms. Further benefits include a new main entrance with adjacent car park and drop off area, plus a glass roofed atrium providing patients and visitors with a relaxation area and catering facilities.

The hospital now provides superb, updated facilities for treatment, such as scanning and diagnostic imaging all under one roof, an expansion of the physiotherapy area, modern operating theatres and a new endoscopy unit as part of a comprehensive refurbishment.

Willmott Dixon was appointed because of our:

  • track record for large health scheme
  • ability to sequence intricate programme requirements
  • focus on local community benefits
