Good connectivity powers local growth.

To support business prosperity that drives inward investment and new opportunities, towns and cities need efficient infrastructure that links together different modes of transport.

That's why we are seeing a huge investment in transport hubs that deliver fast and seamless connectivity for journeys within and beyond urban areas.

Our teams have a track record for interchanges, with the most recent completion in Stevenage connecting bus services with the mainline station. We are also delivering Stockport’s huge interchange, which forms part of a £1bn investment in Stockport town centre, which Lincoln's interchange (below) was a catalyst for major change in the city centre.

Suite of options

We have a proven track record in delivering transport hubs for all kinds of customer needs, whether it’s replacing a dated bus station with modern facilities, or the delivery of a mixed-use project combining transportation with housing, offices or public realm. Through our framework partners, we can be contracted quickly and easily for projects of any value, with social value and community engagement forming a key part of our service offering.

Accelerating NetZero

Guided by the objectives of our 2030 ‘Now or Never’ sustainability strategy, we are working with many customers across the country to deliver projects that are net zero in operation.

We are currently working with North Tyneside Council to deliver a sustainable transport hub and town square in North Shields. The structure will incorporate an enhanced building envelope to maximise airtightness, coupled with an array of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and a surface water management system. If you’d like to find out how we can help you deliver your transport hub to net zero in operation, our team are here to help.
