Retrofit and extension project will create 160 new workspaces to meet surging demand for computer science teaching
Willmott Dixon has increased its presence in the hotel sector with a £3m project to create a Travelodge in Chichester.
The 76-bed hotel in the City Centre is opposite the famous Cathedral and will be part new build, part refurbishment of a listed façade which is being retained. The project is due to be completed in November 2010.
Willmott Dixon is working with Travelodge across the country as part of a planned programme of cyclical refurbishment on each hotel to ensure they remain in the best possible condition, something that earned the company Travelodge’s recent ‘Supplier of the Year’ award.
Willmott Dixon’s hotel sector manager Tim Wheeldon said “Budget hotel brands like Travelodge are investing heavily in their estate to ensure they have the coverage and the quality their customers want. We are delighted to be a key partner in this process and securing the Chichester project takes our relationship further with our first project to create a new Travelodge.”
Tim is aiming for Willmott Dixon’s construction, fit out and refurbishment work in the hotel sector to achieve a turnover of £50 million within 3 years.
Andy Jansons of Jansons property adds “"We are pleased to be building a Travelodge in Chichester with Willmott Dixon as our contractor. The hotel sector is a core basis for our company and we appointed Willmott Dixon on the basis of their professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to providing a quality hotel”.
