Willmott Dixon posts solid profit for 2024
Record volume of new orders in 2024 is followed by strong start to 2025
Willmott Dixon was the best performing company in the Sunday Times Top Track 100 list after it saw a 69 per cent jump in sales from £592 million to £999 million in 2009.
The company was also listed as the 45th biggest private company in the country, and is the UK's third largest privately owned contractor. The Top Track is an annual list that group’s Britain’s largest privately owned companies by turnover.
Key factors behind that growth includes Willmott Dixon's success on the National Academies framework, where it has secured over £500 million of work, and also its support services business, where it now provides repairs and maintenance to 60,000 properties for Birmingham City Council.
As well as a turnover of £999 million, the 2009 results also saw £23 million profit. To ensure the company maintains that momentum in the face of spending cuts, it is growing its development business, and recently announced a joint venture with Carisbrooke to develop Woking town centre. It is also developing Dee Park estate in Reading to create 763 homes over eight years.
