10 Fleet Place EC4 office fit-out

Willmott Dixon Interiors was appointed by engineer Mott MacDonald to fit out 31,500 sq ft of office space to CAT B standard.

The project involved stripping down existing fixtures and fitting and improving the existing surfaces and some of the existing areas.

During the nine-week fit out phase, new cellular offices, meeting rooms, showers, kitchen areas, print hubs, breakout areas, post rooms and storage rooms were built. In addition a brand new reception area, complete with a business lounge was created.

The client aimed to achieve a Silver SKA environmental rating. However Willmott Dixon Interiors saw the potential to achieve an SKA Gold Rating and carried out additional works to enable us to achieve this standard.

This involved Mott MacDonald reusing or recycling existing furniture from previous offices, including task chairs, work stations, meeting tables and storage units.

To reduce energy consumption, lighting control and efficiency and water reduction technology was introduced.
