"Willmott Dixon’s solid first half performance demonstrates our excellent operational performance and the resilience and quality of our order book. Our continued focus on operational excellence and smart contract selection underpins the strong profit performance and cash position across the Group.
“Looking forward, the scale of opportunity ahead of us is particularly exciting, as our market-leading position in key sectors pays dividends. With over £1bn of pre-construction work ready for conversion to main contracts and our record £700m+ framework turnover this year, we're well positioned for sustained growth."
Operational Excellence Driving Results
The first half of 2025 has seen consistent profit delivery across all parts of the business, with our focus on operational excellence yielding tangible results. Our selective bidding approach has enabled us to maintain healthy margins, while investing in a substantial pipeline for future growth.
Framework Performance and Strategic Positioning
2025 is set to be a record year for turnover generated by our largest frameworks, with further growth projected for 2026. We have successfully extended two key frameworks this year: Procurement Hub's Major Projects to 2028, and Pagabo Major Works to 2027.
Our education sector performance has been particularly strong, with £700m secured to date on the current DfE framework with the most contract wins of any framework partner in the last 12 months.
Major Project Wins and Recognition
The first half of 2025 has delivered significant contract wins and recognition:
External recognition has reinforced our market position:
Defence and Net Zero
The appointment of Keith Yarham as National Sector Lead for defence reflects our commitment to this growing market, supported by increased government investment. We continue to lead in sustainable construction, with our expertise in Passivhaus and Net Zero in Operation buildings increasingly valuable as market demand grows.
Future Prospects
While market conditions remain competitive, our strategic positioning is strong. The focus remains on converting our substantial pre-construction pipeline secured so far this year - representing over £1bn of potential main contract conversions. We enter the second half of 2025 backed by strong financials, a record pipeline, market-leading positions, and a clear strategy for capitalising on the significant opportunities ahead.”
