Tell us more about your career with us
I was on a 5 year training plan with 2 years of my degree left to do when I finished. I ran my first project as a trainee and progressed to Assistant Surveyor. I have worked on a range of different projects whilst working here and progressed to Project Surveyor.
I was fortunate enough to be allowed a sabbatical leave in 2009 for a year and returned in 2010. I continued in my position at the housing business until 2012 when I moved over to our interiors company as a Senior Surveyor.
Since then I have been involved in a number of refurbishment projects and different forms of contract which has further developed my construction knowledge and continues to be new and challenging.
What do you like about our culture
Everyone I have worked with in the various parts of the company have been friendly and welcoming. Enjoying the people I work with is a big part of what has kept me at WD for so long and made it so enjoyable.
