The Role

Willmott Dixon Construction is looking to recruit a Senior Services Manager in Oldham. The main purpose of the role is to manage the preconstruction building services team through to the tender and design development period. This is to ensure the production of high quality information and accurate costs.
The role will also require the successful candidate to provide advice, support and coaching to operational site teams in the area of building services.

The role encompasses the design, installation and maintenance of essential services and equipment found in all buildings, including:



  • Water, gas and electricity supplies

  • Lighting, heating and air-conditioning

  • ICT

  • Security systems

  • Lifts and escalators


The Services Manager is responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality and affordability across the design, installation and maintenance of all these essential systems, ensuring that homes, schools and workplaces are healthy and comfortable places.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage the complete qualitative, technical and commercial appraisal of services tenders on selected projects, in conjunction with other team members.

  • Identify equal and approved services solutions for inclusion in tenders.

  • Ensure technical appraisals of the services design to ensure compliance on all projects.

  • Oversee the handover to the delivery team. At contract, award a technically and contractually compliant services tender.

  • Deputise in the absence of a Senior Services Manager.

  • Maintain continuous personal development to ensure appropriate technical awareness.

  • Constantly reinforce and deliver our customer first ethic through to the successful award of tenders.

Essential



  • Appropriate managerial experience in the services sector.

  • Understanding all M&E and services legislation.

  • Commercial acumen.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.

  • A variety of M&E projects in a wide range of sectors.

  • Good demonstrable standard of written and spoken English.

  • Appropriate CSCS card

  • SMSTS certificate
